Quarter Moon, August 2021

Starlog August 15th, 2021, 9:04 p.m. local time

I realized I hadn’t taken a direct digital camera picture of the Moon in some time.  With the sky clear and weather pleasant, I gave it a shot, no pun intended.

On a side note, I missed the Perseid meteors this year as the sky was bad most of last week.  Fortunately, this week looks excellent so I should be able to get my telescope out in a few day’s for Jupiter’s opposition.

Forget about all the craziness in the world for a bit, and weather permitting, go outside and enjoy the night sky this evening!
