First Spotting of a Comet

Tonight was the first time I ever saw a comet. I missed Halley’s as a kid in 1986.

I am under no illusion that seeing galaxies is possible from my location on Earth.

Here is what I hope will be the return of an observation technique I have not done for a while – sketching.

Inspired by other blogs such as Heads UP! taking cool pictures of Venus near the Pleiades, I knew I had to get in on the action myself.

It is entirely possible that my filter opinions are just that, and yours may be different.

The best way I can confirm/reconfirm which dot was Pluto would be to sketch the area around HIP 94372 once Pluto has moved significantly.
