Time to start getting the telescopes out more regularly, as the weather warms but is not too warm yet.

I knew I had to act quickly to photograph them, as they were moving fast and I didn’t know how long they would be visible or if more were coming.

I took a number of images of the nebula, playing around with the exposure and ISO settings.

Inspired by other blogs such as Heads UP! taking cool pictures of Venus near the Pleiades, I knew I had to get in on the action myself.

Venus is still a remarkable and bright experience, in the West sky shortly after Sunset.

For those of you that were able to see it, the Moon and Venus were very close that night.

It will be a fun year. Jupiter and Saturn’s oppositions are a mere five months away. Mars returns to opposition this year.
